New home sales continued their upward trend in October, according to the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors.
The WRAR's statistics show 559 single-family homes sold in the area in
October, an increase of 77 units, or nearly 16 percent, over last year's
number for the same month.
Also on the rise were the average sales price of new homes, at $258,491,
and median sales price, at $210,000, according to WRAR data.
"The Wilmington area continues so see improvements in the marketplace.
Number of sold units and average and median price had a nice boost last
month," said Jody Wainio, president of WRAR, in an email.
